Where surrender meets stillness.

A place to honor where you’ve been, and prepare for where you’re going. From comprehensive childbirth education to whole person postpartum support - I’m here to make your next transition a seamless one.

My Approach

I believe protecting perinatal mental health and wellness begins in pregnancy. What this means to me is that it is not simply enough to get through pregnancy and birth - this should be a time of growth, of celebration, and of empowerment. I join new and expanding families exactly where they are in their journey, and provide support through any questions or obstacles that may arise. In this process you remain the center of control, receiving evidence based information and guidance from me in order to make informed decisions for your family.

Get Started

Self Advocacy as a Standard Practice

As a people pleaser by nature, I have first hand experience within the difficulties of advocating for myself in healthcare settings. Becoming a doula, I realized there are countless other people just like me who struggle to set and reinforce boundaries when receiving care. This discovery of community (the cart returners, the door holders, and the people who apologize when someone else bumps into them) gave me perspective from both the lens of a patient and care provider. Feeling discouraged from discussing earnest inquiries or concerns became my enemy, and I began fighting to empower myself and others through education and the strength of every other person who has been told to be as quiet, and small, and easy as possible.

Experience + Passion = Empowerment

Knowing what to ask, and how to deepen my understanding of a specific provider’s philosophies of care helped set the tone for what the duration of perinatal care would look like. Understanding where and how to locate these affirming and patient oriented healthcare professionals was crucial for helping my clients have the positive birth experience that they deserve.

Work With Us
  • “Cayla was the most amazing doula and helped me to have the unmedicated birth I had been hoping for. I couldn’t have done it without her. After being stuck in triage for three hours and feeling like I couldn’t relax, I told Cayla that I just needed to be in the space I would be meeting my baby to progress any further, she worked her magic with the nurses and got us into a room quickly. She provided my birth partner with ideas of how to help me throughout labor so he knew what to do. She helped suggest different positions to me that moved things along quicker. I’ll never forget Cayla and my positive birth experience.” (2021)

  • “Going through a full term pregnancy for a second time Cayla really helped refresh my memory on what to expect during. She showed my partner ways to help ease my discomfort that he wasn’t aware of the first time I went through labor. Cayla’s presence and energy was so relaxing to me. She also showed me some affirmations that I can repeat to myself that I really enjoyed. She also showed my 4 year old daughter ways she could help out when I’m showing signs of discomfort. She really loved being hands on and helping her mommy! Cayla is amazing!!!” (2023)

  • “My husband and I attended Cayla’s group class and had a wonderful time. The environment was calm and inviting and everything was set up prior to arrival to make us feel the most at ease and welcome. Cayla had informational packets for all of the couples with pens so we could take notes as we went through. We were able to talk through so many important things and ask so many questions. I really felt more knowledgeable and confident walking out. I would highly recommend Cayla to anyone who is looking for a Doula!” (2024)

  • “As a first time mother, Cayla was nothing short of a God send. You don’t have any idea what to expect going into this journey, I can say that with her support the transition was beautiful. Every mother wants what’s best for their baby, but we fall short of caring for ourselves and Cayla was there for me!” (2019)
